Club Sliding Skeleton (target ages 14+)

Youth and adults ages 14 and up who want to regularly be involved in skeleton either competitively or recreationally can sign up for the Club Sliding Program. Training sessions run an average of three to five times per week.

Competitive athletes within the 14-26 target age focus on building the skills needed to progress to the National Development program, both on track and off track. Non-competitive/recreational athletes also receive consistent coaching support to help progress skills focussing more on enjoying the sport of skeleton but still allow the athletes to scratch their competitive itch.

If interested, participation in local/provincial competitions is possible throughout the season for both competitive and non-competitive athletes. Some international opportunities may be possible for the competitive athletes based on availability given by the National program.

Internationals who are interested in sliding on the Whistler track are able to join in the Club Sliding sessions and receive coaching through the program’s coach. Track walks, in-session coaching and coaches video review are included in the cost of joining the sessions.

A session includes as many runs as can be fit in the given timeframe booked for the session.
