"Discover Bobsleigh" - Introductory Clinics 2016/2017

Join the BC Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association and get in the driver’s seat for a bobsleigh driving school. Participants of this 2.5 hour school will complete a brief orientation before getting on the ice in our training sleds. Each participant will get the chance to be pilot & brakeman reaching up to 110km/hr from the Lower Ladies start. No previous experience required!

Participants will receive a full athlete membership to the BC Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association as part of the "Discover Bobsleigh" program, and will be provided with all the equipment needed (sled & helmet) to participate in the program. Participants will be informed on appropriate clothing to wear for the session upon registration.

  • Tuesday, November 8: 5:00pm - 7:30pm
  • Saturday, November 19: 8:30am - 11:00am
  • Tuesday, December 13: 5:00pm - 7:30pm
  • Friday, December 23: 5.30-8:00pm
  • Monday, December 26: 4:30-7:00pm
  • Sunday, January 22: 8:30am - 11:00am
  • Tuesday, January 31: 5:00pm - 7:30pm
  • Saturday, March 4: 5:00pm - 7:30pm
Who can participate

The discover bobsleigh program is open to participants of 16 years old or above.
Bobsleigh can be a strenuous sport. Participants should be prepared for an active 2.5 hours, and should be able to lift a minimum of 65lbs. 
We ask that participants are physically fit and do not suffer from previous neck or back injuries.

Participants of the "Discover Bobsleigh" sessions are encouraged to sign up for a 2-day Bobsleigh school at a discounted rate ($100 off), and will receive a full athlete membership to BC Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association.
