Human Resources Assistant (Entry Level Role)

The Human Resources Assistant administratively supports the day-to-day operations of the human resource function at Whistler Sport Legacies.  Responsibilities for this part time entry level role include clerical support, interacting with colleagues to provide information related to policies, activities, processes, procedures, and prompt communication and resolution to all queries.

Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for providing HR administrative support in a broad range of capacities including offer letter preparation, tracking, onboarding, recruitment, and more
  • Process HR records and transactions as they relate to colleague cycles including new hires, leaves, departures, onboarding, and off-boarding
  • Organize and maintain electronic filing system and ensure documents are prepared for personnel files
  • Assist HR initiatives including colleague engagement survey, performance management, etc., as required
  • Support recruiting including position description updating/development, job postings, scheduling interviews, interview question development, and job offers as assigned
  • Assist in implementation of interview/recruitment initiatives and coordination including participation when directed
  • Maintain and update company policies and procedures as directed
  • Coordinate colleague orientation, training, and events as directed
  • Support colleague related initiatives and generate reports as directed
  • Maintain a positive work environment and effective colleague relations including demonstrating commitment to WSL core values, supporting HR team efforts, and other venue/department support
  • Champion all corporate policies and procedures

  • Assist team with other duties as assigned or required
Education/Experience: 
  • 4+ years of general office administrative experience with a demonstrated ability for ongoing improvements to processes and overall efficiencies
  • 1-2 years HR experience including handling sensitive personnel information confidentially and professionally required
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant Employment Standards, and Human Rights regulations and legislation required
  • Recruitment experience an asset
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
