Today's Summary
Daily Update
Thursday, February 20, 8:30am, we are open until 6:30pm today.
It’s a bit of a grey morning, but the warmer temperatures make for great glide on the skis! As we navigate these changing weather patterns, layering is key—just don’t overdo it to avoid overheating. And for extra comfort, keep a change of clothes in the car for a cozy ride home.
For intermediate skiers, Bob (aka Snowdoc) recommends a fun route: Mid Madley Falls, on the left off Lower Norwegian Woods is one of our hidden gems. This loop —Porters Glide, Madeley Creek Loop, Lower Norwegian—totals about 8 km round trip and passes one of the park’s nicest water features.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the Payak Loppet is on Saturday! Our ski trails remain open, but please follow the flow of travel to avoid skiing against racers. Porter’s Glide will not be accessible to dogs, but you can park at the first dog parking lot on the right after the gate and take your pups for a ski on the Brandywine/Metal Dome loop.
